We'll celebrate grandparents with a yummy breakfast celebration this Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall. If you have a grandparent, bring them along; if you are a grandparent, join us!

August 29 will be a special day at Holy Comforter! At 9:30 we are honored to welcome Janet Davis who will lead our Coffeehouse Theology conversation. Her newest book Sacred Healing: MRIs, Marigolds, and Miracles has just been published, and she will share excerpts from that work. Check it out at: http://store.pastoralplanning.
At 10:30, we celebrate the Baptism, Confirmation, and Reaffirmation of Faith of 9 people.Bishop Rayford High, who has a special place in his heart for Holy Comforter, will be our celebrant.
After worship, we'll enjoy Texas' best BBQ in the parish hall. Cooked by the men of HC (guys are welcome to help the cooks anytime on Saturday, from 8-4), the BBQ will be accompanied by the sides we all provide. A special day, indeed!

HC's Discovery Team has prepared a great day of exploring the Episcopal Church through games, music, even a fashion show! All are welcome to join us Saturday, August 21 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. as we explore the roots of our faith. Lunch will be provided. All who participate will be eligible for confirmation or reception on August 29, when Bishop High visits us!

This Sunday, August 15, will be John Gearhart's last Sunday as our music director. He and Laurie have been an incredible blessing to Holy Comforter and they will be greatly missed. We wish them all the best in their new endeavors!

St. Luke's Episcopal Health Charities! Sunday, May 2, Holy Comforter welcomes Dr. Gail Bray, Executive Director. Her engaging and informative presentation will be at 9:30 in the Parish Hall. Come learn about how our church brings Jesus' ministry of healing and hope to the "least of these."

Jesus enters Jerusalem to joyful shouts and waving palms, thus beginning his Passion that will forever change the world. Join us as we walk the road of his passion together: Palm Sunday Services are at 8:30 & 10:30 a.m. Maundy Thursday service, marking Jesus' last supper is at 7 pm.; Good Friday service is at 7 pm, followed by Stations of the Cross. Easter Sunday begins with breakfast at 9, followed by one service of rejoicing at 10:30!
